Yahtzy War
How to Play Yahtzy War Dice Game
Objective
Yahtzy War is a variant from Yahtzee family of dice games. The players score by rolling dice to make certain combinations. The game is played with five six-sided dice.
Gameplay
There are 12 combinations and each combination can be scored 3 times. All of these 36 scoring options are available to both players.
Players take turn to roll dice up to three times to score a combination which has not been scored yet by the player or, the opponent. Some combinations can be captured by the player which was scored earlier by the opponent by scoring higher for that combination. Full house, Small Straight, Large Straight, and Yahtzy can not be captured by the opponent if it was scored for its full value. If a zero was scored against these categories, it can be captured by the opponent.
In each turn the dice can be rolled up to three times. The player is not required to roll dice for exactly three times.
If they have achieved a combination earlier, they can call it and pass the turn to next player.
